According to data released by Kaspersky Labs, roughly 98% of computers infected with the WannaCry ransomware were running some version of Windows 7. Originally, it was thought that Windows XP took the brunt of the infections since it is no longer supported. Wrong again. This latest report tells us that it really doesn't matter if you are still running an outdated version of software or operating system. No matter what you are using, you should update to whatever the latest patch or version is available. Here endeth the lesson.
